Supported Matrix COSEC models and connection methods

| HTTP push | The terminal sends each punch to Ankastra as it is recorded |
Supported Matrix COSEC models include the COSEC ARGO FACE, COSEC DOOR FA and COSEC DOOR FPF.
How the connection is set up
- Confirm the COSEC models. Our onboarding team checks your terminals' model and firmware for HTTP push before anything changes on site.
- Point the terminals at Ankastra. Enter the server address we give you in each terminal's network settings. Each punch is then sent over HTTP as it is recorded.
- Leave door access as it is. Door rules stay on the terminal and in your access control setup; Ankastra only receives the attendance events.
- Match device users to employees. COSEC user IDs are mapped to the Ankastra roster, contract workers included.
- Run both side by side. Compare Ankastra's attendance against your current COSEC reports before you switch the old process off.
Our onboarding team does this with you.
The terminal verifies the face. Ankastra decides what the punch means.
Matrix COSEC ARGO FACE is a capable terminal: deep learning face matching, fake face detection and an IP65 rating for dusty or wet areas. What the terminal does not know is that the person punching at 6:10 am is on a night shift that started yesterday, is a contract worker whose vendor bills by the day, or has already crossed this week's overtime limit.
That is the job Ankastra does with each punch: apply the shift, raise the exception, reconcile the contractor and, in Pro, run payroll.
Matrix COSEC alongside ESSL
In the modelled multi-site scenario, a food processing group runs ESSL at its older units and Matrix COSEC at the newer ones. Before, each brand had its own export routine, so reconciliation work grew with every site. Once both push into the same register with the unit, the department and the verify mode attached, a new site adds terminals, not another routine.
After the punch
From there every brand is handled the same way: shift rules, exceptions and the muster roll, contract workers on the same roster, with attendance reconciled against the contractor's bill, and statutory payroll from the same punches in the Pro plan.
Plan and price
Device integration is in the Growth plan: ₹5,999 a month for 50 employees, or ₹5,099 a month billed annually, plus GST. Each employee above 50 adds ₹49 a month.
Matrix COSEC is a trademark of its owner. Ankastra reads attendance from Matrix COSEC devices; it is not made, sold or endorsed by Matrix COSEC.
Questions people ask
Do we need to replace our Matrix COSEC devices?
No. ARGO FACE, DOOR FA and DOOR FPF terminals keep doing the verification and door control they do today, and send each punch to Ankastra over HTTP push.
Can Matrix terminals and other brands run together?
Yes. Matrix COSEC terminals can sit alongside ESSL, ZKTeco, Hikvision or Suprema devices, and all of them feed the same attendance record.
